What is the weather like in low season?

Thailand weather is unpredictable from May to November. We have learnt there is no weather forecast you can 100% rely on.

The weather in Phi Phi is different from Phuket, and different again from Krabi. It actually rains less on Phi Phi Don and less again on Phi Phi Leh (Maya Bay) than it does in Phuket or in Krabi.

The weather is normally really good. It might rain most days in those months, but it is often hard and short. Because it is hot anyway, most people don’t really mind such rain showers. However maybe four times per year it will rain for 3-5 days straight. The problem with this is that you can’t predict when the big storms will happen.

As a guide, for the past two years, we have had to cancel approximately three  trips per month due to bad weather in low season.

We do have cover if it rains  and some of our favourite memories include swimming in Maya Bay in torrential rain.

If you come with us, and we have to cancel due to bad weather, we will try and reschedule your trip, or offer you a full refund.

Are trips suitable for Children?
